A Few Weddings Later

Well I have had such a busy few weeks I have neglected my blog for a while. Since my last post I have photographed weddings at Leatherhead Register Office, The New Mill in Eversley,Hampshire and St. Peters Church in Slinfold West Sussex and The Surrey Hills Hotel in Capel, Surrey.

All the weddings went really well and we were not hampered by the rain which was a miracle as we have had so much in recent weeks, so much so that I was thinking of buying a wet suit!

I have also been involved in other photography related projects but I will not send you off to sleep with all the detail

What A Great Day For ..........

What a great day for a wedding and a sports day.
Well it was off to Guildford Register office for the 1 o'clock wedding of John and Maria, then a quick dash back to Alfold Sports Club to photograph the sports/fun day.
It all started with a Pram race (not the wedding) and ended with the trophy presentation (not the wedding, but I suppose it could of done).

Amanda's School Prom

It was a lovely evening to hang around for a limo that never arrived!

We met up on the village green outside The Sun Public House in Dunsfold Surrey to take some photographs of Amanda and her friends leaving for their school prom.

Amanda's dad is an old school friend of mine (well he is old) so I jumped at the chance to do the shoot as I thought it would be a good chance to get some photos of an old school chum to post on the internet, but just like the limo he did not turn up.

Amanda and her friends eventually left for their prom in seperate cars as there was no sign of the limo. When I have the name of the limo company I will add it here as they may be one to avoid in the future!!

Thomas and Emma 20th June 2009

After the early morning rain the sun managed to burst through the clouds and we had a brilliant day for Thomas and Emma's wedding.

The day started at Emma's parents house to capture Emma having the finishing touches done to her make up and the excitement of the bridesmaids.

The ceremony was held at St Michael's Church in Aldershot, by the Rev'd James Martin who is the only vicar so far who has let me loose with my flashgun throughout the service. We used the memorial gardens behind the church for the formal photos.

The reception was held at Lakeside International Hotel in Frimley, Surrey with the views across the lake it was perfect for photographs. With a lovely meal courtesy of the Bride and Groom I was all ready for the photos of the speeches and the first dance.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Thomas, Emma and their lovely families and friends for making me feel so much a part of their special day.

Ed and Natalies Wedding 9th May 2009

Ed and Natalie were married at the lovely St Peters Church in Hersham Surrey. The reception was held at The Oatlands Park Hotel in Weybridge.

My day started at Oatlands Park Hotel to capture the bride with all her bridesmaids during their final preparations, (the champagne was enjoyed by all).

Next stop was The Bricklayers Arms at Hersham to capture the Groom, Best Men and Ushers during their final preparations!

Then it was off to the Church to meet the Vicar and the Verger to get my brief on where and when to take photos.

After the ceremony and signing of the register we headed outside into the sunshine to do the traditional shots.

After the confetti was thrown we headed back To Oatlands Park Hotel for some more traditional family and friends group photos then Ed and Natalie let me loose to do all the informal shots.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Ed and Natalie and all their family and friends for making me feel so welcome and for making the day go so smoothly.

There was no escape for Ed (not that he tried that hard)
